The Macro Group UK Bulletin is launching new competitions with prizes to be won!

An Essay Competition is running until 11th October 2024, with the theme (not necessarily title) “My Favourite Polymer.” We are requesting a maximum of 500 words and one figure for the piece. Three selected essays will appear in the Bulletin and win prizes of £100! The panel will review essays and select based on three criteria: academic quality, creativity, and presentation.

An image competition is running alongside the essay competition, also ending on 11th October 2024. Get thinking about what to submit. This image can be an illustration, photograph, micrograph – whatever you think will excite your fellow polymer enthusiasts! The winning image will receive £100 and be featured on the cover of the bulletin. Two further selected images will receive £50 and be featured inside the Bulletin. Any submitted images will be ranked by a review panel based on artistic quality alone.
